Tough decision! Should I kill my plants?

So this is my first grow. I decided to grow some bag weed seeds prior to growing the super lemon haze, pure kush, and jack jerer seeds I ordered. The bag seeds are about 7-10 days ahead of the good stuff. Their sole purpose was to give me a bit of experience before the real deal. Now that I am about 25 days into it, the 3 bag weed plants look amazing. They are around a foot tall with 7-8 nodes and becoming very bushy. They look perfectly healthy. My problem now is I don't want to trash these 3 plants because they look so good. I only have 400 watts of light. Two t-5 high output fixtures at 200 watts each. If I trash the 3 bag weed plants I would be able to devote both fixtures to the 3 good plants. If I keep them I will most likely get a small yield from the good stuff. I should note that the 3 good strains are all feminized. I guess I need someone to convince me to trash these plants because I don't know if I can do it.

Don't trash them... Make a decision on which ones you want to flower out and clone the others. No genetics lost. If you do that you can get rid of any males you may have from the bagseed.

Good Luck

Not sure I understand completely, but I guess I can wait to decide what to do until I find out if they are males.

No reason to trash them...you can easily have 6 plants under a 400w...as they get larger and get ready to flower then maybe one or 2 of the bag seed will end up being male...thus saving you this terrible job...

Harvest the pollen from the best males and then fertilize a couple buds on the females. This way you get new seed and dont have to pay for more in the future

Wow, I was really thinking everyone would say trash the bag weed plants in favor of harvesting more of the good stuff. I guess I'll hold on to them at least until I find out if they are male or female.

I have seen many growers on YouTube and riu use a 400 watt hid to flower 6 or even 8 plants... And missnu gives great advice and is a lot more experienced than me. However .... I too have 3 feminized plants and 3 bagseed plants (same scenario as u, I do have 1 clone taken straight into flower as well but I'm not counting that, its pretty small.) But I too noticed it is extremely hard to fit 6 plants under 400 watts of light. Especially if they are all different shapes & sizes , I just killed a male plant about a week ago, it only takes a week or two to determine sex since ur plants are already old. Just leave them until they show their sex and then kill the males.. if u still have more plans than u can handle. U could alwaYs give 1 to me lol.. but seriously , its a tight fit but it is possible . Or one other possible solution is if u have an extra room or closet , seperate ur t5 and ur hid ... Use the t5 to veg one or 2 of those plants until u have room in ur flower room.

Bagseed weed is hit or miss. The reason it looks like crap when you buy it is because of the way it is handled from harvest to you purchasing it. It goes through all kinds of hell from there to here. Take a seed from that bagseed, give it tlc...good nutrients...good environment and you will have something totally different than what it came from. Bagseed weed also grows in fields filled with hundreds of other kinds of plants...males all mixed in and not treated with any type of tlc. If you have enough room you can easily flower 6 plants under that 400W and get about 2 zips per plant...maybe more if one of the bagseeds is sativa dominant. At the very least you can take the fems from the bagseed, make clones out of all the nice branches then scrap the main body of the plants and flower out your feminized plants. You can then make a clone box or if you have another smaller area you can have a small veg area to veg the clones out and put them into flower when the others finish. You can make this perpetual. You never know...you might find a golden nugget in one of them bagseeds.

Theres your answer, NEVER just kill off any living plants. Turning male is the only excuse for killing plants. You planted 'em, now you gotta see them out. a 400 can give enough light to handle half a dozen plants. Plus, get the experience of growing out bagseed all the way through. I'm in my 2nd year of growing and I find vegging to be the easy part. Its later in flowering that you get problems to deal with and you can practice on the bagseed. Thats exactly what I did first time around. I grew some bagseed to get a feel for it, then I ordered from a seedbank and got some good genetics
