first off, Dizzy's an idiot. Decriminalization would not change anything except the risk of a criminal record. It would also introduce a fresh revenue stream for police departments...just like speeding tickets. Anyone who thinks decrim wouldn't come with fines, isn't paying attention. If there are no penalties, by definition it's legal. The NDP said they would 'study' legalization, not that they would ever actually do anything about it. Mulcair was just riding on whatever was working for the Liberals.
As for the CON majority in the senate. They have said they will not use their partisanship to stall government. The senators are struggling to show they are still relevant and the senate shouldn't be abolished. Any move like that by con senators will just fuel public demand to abolish the senate.

Where is the evidence of Trudeau being 'pro LP'? I haven't heard them utter a word about LP's or medical mj. Once again your irrational blind hatred of the Liberals is getting in the way of reasonable thinking. You define and label me by the political party I voted for, yet you refuse to tell us if you even bothered to vote.
