Training look right??

Hello I am new to this site as well as growing. This is my first grow I had hoped to put a net over these to get them to stretch out to get a larger yield but I am not sure if this is how they are supposed to grow they are 4 weeks old from when the popped out of the seed. They are pretty thick and bushy the branches with new growth are real short so I can not tie them out of the way to open the plant up... Did I maybe start training them to soon or is this how they go and will eventually stretch out so I can put my net over them?

These plants are exploding these pics were taken yesterday morning and as of this evening have grown at least an inch taller... can anyone share info with me on training and when I should stop pulling them back and put the net over them?? Thanks

Here's some training tips for Scrog. Plants look healthy. Nice job.

Thank you... I read many say to switch to flower on week 5 but I don't think these are anywhere big enough yet to get much yield I figure at least another couple weeks and would like to get them going on the net before switching

Right now they are about 7-14g EA. Look good so far

Yeap each plant if you flipped right now. You want 20" tall or better at flip to pull a solid oz off each.

Interesting that is a good reference... 20" tall after I get them spread out?? I am hoping to get some sort of scrog going

Well if Scrog is in play then fill the net and we are at Ziploc gallon bags vs snack bags. :-)

lol ... I only have a 3 X 3 tent and 2 $80ea. 300 W LED's off of amazon... I hope to eventually build and upgrade to cree or bridgelux cobs I think light is a huge factor in yield from what I have seen but that is another whole subject for down the road... right now I am trying to just determine if my plants at this stage are good for scrog or if I have not been training them right to prepare them for scrog

You are good to go as far as training goes. You will get more bud you think. ;-)

First Scrog is a challenge. After you do 1 or 2, you can pull 6+ oZ per. Pulled 8+ off a 7 week veg/Scog Sage n Sour last grow. Should have been 10. Here's a good screen plan.

WOW that is what I am talking about.... doing that is the art part of growing and I am sure it will take some time to ever get even near that caliber....

This is the net I built and was planing to use this grow...

Wow, is scrog really that inefficient? I thought it was supposed to be better. Or am I misunderstanding? I've never tried it, I grow normally developed plants. I flip my normal growing plants to 12/12 at about 12" tall at about 4 weeks from seed and get an average of about 6oz's dried and cured from each plant. Growing 4 plants in a 4x4 tent with a 400W hps and 2 90W ufos as supplemental lighting.

Geez I really wish I could answer your question but this is my first grow so I don't have much of a clue what to expect I am going on what I have read and what you read can be confusing as there are many theories and techniques growers use, many if not most of them seem to work but I decided to try a sog for my first grow
