Training my dog to sniff out buds

I have a couple of scent hounds but I don't see the point in doing this. Your going to take your toy away and they will sniff out your stash and take it.

What are you hoping to do here? Teaching to fetch your bag or sniff out other peoples I don't get it lol?
 
K9s go through intensive obedience training as well. Unless I'm mistaken they need to ace that before moving onto their specialty, like detection. cn
 
Just for another trick. I'm not going to be walking my dog around the city making it sniff out peoples stashes all day.
