Training to Increase Yield?

Ok, so I have Fimmed in the past and have had good results, but its been awhile. I have 3 Girls going now, there about 6 inches tall, thinking about Fimming them and then LSTing them for two weeks, then Fimming the new Tops again, more LSTIng and then vegg them for two more weeks then flower them. Is that the right way to do it? also giving them the right nutes along the way. What is everyones techniques and thoughts on this?

i use to LST and its a great training technique. i think your ideas are great and should allow for many tops. make sure to have suffienct space for the girls when u get to flower cuz they will need it being LST.
i personal super crop mine now and get a better result, but thats just me.
good luck to u bro

Supercropping is something im definately interested in, I just think with me not being the most delicate person, I will snapp the branch off beyond repair, how much time does it take the plant to recovery from supercropping??

I like to just top once...somewhere between 6 and 9 inches. I want at least 4 strong nodes. 4-6 nodes keeps really well over a square 12inch pot. let it recover a week or 2 then flower. Plants generally end up at between 2 and 3 feet tall not including pot

yes i agree. do a super crop, them do the fim technique. to me super cropping is just like topping with out cutting the lead growth.
i did a super crop then fim to an og kush, and mother fucker the girl is a bush.

theres virtually no growth slowing with supercrop. mine recover in a day or so and start shooting back up again.
the key to it is to work the stalk back and forth slowly and gently. pinching it to soften the tissues up a little. take your time and it will weaken up enough to fall on its own.
you wont need to push or break anything.
ive made my mistakes before and broke a few tops but it still turned out to be great cuz it was like topping. but once again the point of supercrop is to keep that main budsite. hints why its better.

I also use supercropping on my girls. It gives em nice and large branches and stems for supporting the plant. Even when forced down to low points and away from the light, by the end of the day a plant can be back up towards the light. It's ridiculous how fast they recover.

I do it all. It's a little crazy but you get a lot more. First I LST everything. As several new tops grow to about 6 inches, I then fimm. Then once those tops get taller then I top each center top of each branch that was fimmed. Of course super cropping through the last week of veg and through the first week of flower. I veg from 5 to 8 weeks depending on strain and size. I do soil too. I do have a couple of strain that I do not LST. They just don't take well to it and keep wanting to shoot straight up,

You should get a collection a plants and try different things on them. Say you have ten plants:
plant 1: top only
plant 2: supercrop only
plant 3: fim only
plant 4: LST only
plant 5-16: try different combos of all methods
plant 17: leave alone, and be amazed at how little you need to do to get the same results.
Don't get me wrong, I love training my plants and I do it to most of them. But as of late, I've been coming to the conclusion that when you have a good source of light and great reflection minimal training is necessary.

i lst/supercrop for the simple fact that i only have 8 inches of vertical space in my veg tent from the top of my 3 gal pot to the light, and then i flower with a 400w hps with unlimited vertical space and let her go crazy. due to the lower wattage of my bloom bulb i find that letting the plant go natural just doesn't make the most of the lower branches when a plant is 2 feet tall. if i had a 1000w it would be a non-issue. in my opinion lst only increases yield when dealing with lower wattage blooming and smaller spaces. you could lst with a 1000w setup but in that scenario i think you would be redistributing the yield more than you would be increasing it.

My three afghan kush special clones that have been topped twice, lst'd, and supercropped yesterday. On my first grow I topped once and got 4 tops. My second I topped twice and got 7 tops. On my third grow I topped twice and lst'd and got 12 tops. This time im doin it all to see if I can squeeze any more tops out of this strain. Heres some pics of my last one that I got 12 tops out of.
