My Feminized trainwreck seeds just arrived yesterday. I placed 8 of the 10 seeds in a plastic bowl with lid, and put this on a heating pad with a bathroom towel between them. (6) of the (8.) seeds were already cracked when I got home today.. WOOOOOOT!!!!!!

So now I have (8.) 4"X4" rockwool cubes soaking in 5.0 PH'd water which has Supernatural Rockwool Soak in it. I will Check the PH every so often, At the end I hope to have the ph at about 5.5.

When all the seeds are cracked which will crack, I will place them in Rapid Rooters, and place these in my Humidity Dome for a few days. Then they will go into my Small Flood and drain system in my Veg room. For lighting I will be using a t-5 light, with (6) 43 watt (150) cfls. after about 2 weeks I MIGHT put my 400 watt MH light on them, not sure.

When I put them into flowering they will go to my flower room. that flood tray is 3'X3'. This flood tray will have a 1 1/2" coco matt covering the bottom of the tray, which will allow the roots to grow freely. This grow room has a 1,000 watt HPS light.

Pictures to come when there is something to take a picture of...lol

Happy New Years to All,

Well, I checked on my seeds this morning, all 8 of them have cracked in under 36 hours. I have placed them in Rapid Rooters and have them lounging in the Humidity Dome, which is on my heating pad also. :hump: Now to clean and sterilize my little veg. room.

Later,

Ok, I have finished pre soaking my rockwool cubes to leach out the un-wanted crap that will raise the PH in my flood and drain system. They soaked for 12 hours in the solution, and this morning I Stacked them 4 high, and poured the solution over them, letting it drain down through them, switching the bottom to the top every so often. I did this on and off for 3 hours. I now have the cubes holding steady at 5.4 PH. Once this happened I emptied out the tub of the water solution, and restacked my cubes 4 high, allowing them to drain out. I then took 2 cubes from each stack and set them aside, restacking the remaining 4 cubes, to let them also drained out.

I am hopeing my seeds with pop out of the rapid rooters sometime tomorrow.

Anyone out there know if Trainwreck is an Indica or a Sativa?? Green house seed company does not say which one it is. Kind of think it is Sativa from the distription they give.

TrainWreck ® (Feminised) Awards: Not introduced to competitions yet. Genetics: Original clone from Arcata, USA. Reversed 100% feminized. Effect: Like the name suggests, a real blast. It hits fast, and it hits hard. Stoney on the body, confusing and trippy on the brain. A truly powerful smoke. Flowering indoor: Ready in 8 weeks, expect a lot of resin and tower-like calyx formation deforming the buds in the final stages of ripening. Production up to 500 grams per square meter. Flowering outdoor: Ready beginning October, with stretchy branches and long shaped colas. Production up to 700 grams per plant.

I have the following to add:

Trainwreck (Woodhorse) Mexican X Colombian X Afghani
Trainwreck = Afghani x [Lowland Thai x Mexican/columbian]

RegionCalifroniaStrainTrainwreckTypeSativa/indicaOriginClones in HumboldtBreederNot clearDescriptionTrainwreck is a Humboldt County strain and is a good resin producer indoors with a nice finish. This is a 8-9 week strain, but looks ripe at 6-7 weeks. If you let it go a little longer it more than pays off in quality! This strain was produced by four of us in Humboldt combining our genetics from around the world into a "Super Plant." The resulting seeds are more stabilized than others. We are aware that there are still some variations among plants, so we recommend selecting a mother for best results.SpecificationsIndoor: 8-9 weeks
Outdoor: late September

Harder to grow than the average weed. Does well in Sog with limited veg. Ounce per plant. Larger plants yield high with multiple topping. 60 to 70 days Hard to grow out doors due to its tendancy to flower to early(starts
in June) the plants just won't get big enough but it finishes in sept. Best to put out in Aug

I spent most of today just researching strains for the fun of it...and certainly trainwreck comes up often and loudly. It is fun and so totally confusing with on one list 700+ strains, and another list 900+ strains.....I swear I should just put it all away for a day or so....but I am so intrigued with it all !

These seeds are in a hurry to become full grown plants. just over 24 hours for all 8 seeds to germ. then about 16-20 hours for them to pop out from the rapid rooters. All 8 of them are looking good so far.

Ok, So I got my seeds on 12/28/07 and started to germ them. Today is 12/31/07 and here they are in there new home for a few weeks. I am only going to use the t-5 for a few days, then I will give them all of the cfls. I have 6 43 watt (150) cfls for them. I might break out the 400 watt MH light in a few weeks.

Good Growing everyone in the New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got my Trainwreck seeds 5 days ago. The seedlings are already about 2" tall and doing pretty good. Seems like a nice fast growing strain. I will show a few pictures tonight when I get home from work.

Later...

well, not much to show. But, here are a few more photos. These seedlings have been in my hydro system now for 48 hours. It has been 5 days since they arrived. I am very impressed so far with these seeds. 100% Germination, they seem to be healthy. Now if they mature at 100% female. That would be very nice, seeing as I paid extra to get feminized seeds. This is the first time I have ever bought feminized seeds.

Grow big, smoke deep....
