Transitioning from indoor to outdoor

I have primarily been an outdoor grower for the last 5 years and usually just start outdoors around this time. This year I decided to get a head start before going outdoors but I am outgrowing my indoor space.

Are my plants going to flower and reveg if they go outside now with only 14hrs of light per day? I've had them on 16-8 from seed and have started to slowly taper that down to 15-9 to help with the transition.

If the plants are mature (not seedlings) then I’d definitely wait till mid May to put them out.
You could also use supplemental lighting for an hour or so at sunset until the end of May just to be on the safe side since it sounds like your plants are pretty far along.

Thanks for the responses. They are a month old, just topped them. Should I be aiming for something like 14.5 hrs then because I won't get 15 hrs until June?

All the research I have done suggest mothersday +/- 2 weeks depending on latitude and genetics for the transition from bloom to veg. I personally started light depo on my spring bloom april 18th. You can always light supplement just tunr you veg light on them for a hr or 2 on either side of daylight

This reveg happens to me and I end up with a 6’ bush for the compost bin in October. I try the gaslight but still happens on all but the more sativa leaning plants. I wait until 6/1 (NCA). I’m sure there’s a way I just can’t make it work earlier.

I keep my clones indoors till June first
I keep lights on 4 hours longer than current light hours
I’ll reduce them gradually over the next month
When I first put them out I will place them under a shady tree for a few days to harden them to the harsh sun
Works every time
Reveg just waste valuable veg time

I've been doing it this way for years and it works like a charm, no flowering no revege.

Likely what I will try and do. Luckily I have a couple extra plants to experiment with/sacrifice.
