Okay well the title says it all, but Ive got a real beauty and she's been flowering for three to four weeks now and is very healthy. I have been lst'ing her since vegetation with screws on the outer rim of the pot, but now have more room to work with so i was wondering if transplanting into a big, substantial pot would be beneficial or if it is already too late at this point. would releasing the lst strings make her lose the trained shape also? thanks in advance you guys. im off to hit a spectrum load now.

You can transplant them if you are VERY careful and make sure not to disturb the roots at all! I did the same thing, they loved having that extra room... trouble starts when the soil is drastically different in consistency and Ph, but thats usually not too big on an issue. If your really worried get some super-thrive, it will prevent transplant shock and help potbound roots grow outwards, especially if sprayed on the exterior of the root-ball but you can just water it in. I would re-tie those training strings just in case, but it depends on how long they have been trained that way and the thickness of the stem.

thats down, i have been using perlite and a little vermiculite in my mix so it should be very similar consistency and the stem is thick as fuck so it should be trained in its "s" shape. What is the biggest pot size I can go to that is not too much? thanks northern i appreciate that quick response.

well, thats the thing. im going to have to release the strings, but hopefully it will hold its shape for the most part. i have like 12 colas because of the lst. its fuckin chill so i might give her more room to grow in a new pot.

the plant will hold its shape man.... and why wouldnt you be able to re-tie them anyways????? look at the above pic.... I released the strings and it stays right where I left it for like 3 days.,.... then it will start to reach after about that amount of time

you are so right graf. i do live in so cal. atleast i didnt say hella or anything ridiculous like that. i am going to untie her one of these days and put her in a huge pot to give the roots room to grow. thanks guys. with an hps, can u lower it as the plant gets more accustomed to it. it is about 14 inches from the top of the canopy right now, and she seems to love it.
