You want one gallon of pot for every foot you are going to grow them for optimal growth is the rule of thumb I've heard. I think ANY pot can be made to work, it is what the plants want and your space restrictions allow though.

ya go bigger unless you dont want big plants, were you going with cfls for flower too? in that case you might want to keep it smaller
