ok ill try and explain this the best i can ive got a 6' plant its about 2 weeks into flower and it has had very little growth in the last 2 weeks and it isnt drinking much water she is in a 3 gallon pot but in the begining i had a second plant in with her and it turned out to be male so i chopped it when it was about 2' tall now i think she is root bound i was stiring the top soil and i noticed a few broken roots and since i only stir the top .5-1" deep and i do it often i wouldnt expect to see roots that high but the real question is should i risk transplanting it into a larger pot or just wait to see what happens my lower leaves are wilted and alot of leaves are curling

A picture would help others diagnose the problem. Have you flushed the plant recently? The curling and dying leaves maybe because of salt buildups in the soil or it maybe that you are experiencing some sort of pH lockout or it maybe part of the natural life cycle of the plant. I would recommend flushing your plant with pHed water and a couple of drops of superthrive, it you have it (don't worry about it otherwise). If your plant's health doesn't improve in a few days time, I'd suggest finding a digital camera to borrow and posting a pic so others can better understand the situation. Your plant might be root bound, but I think you should look for other solutions before attempting to transplant a 6' plant and 3 gallons of soil.

I would not transplant a plant that big I would think the shock would be to severe, Flush and she will be fine.

ok, just another noobie mj grower but experienced with other plants, but if you don;t see roots coming out of the drainage holes and you don't have
LARGE roots breaking out at the top of the plant, are you really rootbound?

tough to tell without pics but u may have a watering problem. i don't think your plant would be showing the signs you are seeing from being rootbound. it would not grow as large, and thus wouldn't produce as much bud, but it shouldn;'t be sick.

still next time use a larger pot and rest easier.
