Transplanting after flowering?

I'm germinating my second round of seeds. My first attempt (1 plant) ended tragically when she came out to me as a male after I treated her like a princess.

Anyway, I can't afford to buy & supply 25 4-gallon containers. Is transplanting after flowering begins rougher than doing it before?

Secondly, is it very stressful to flower-for-sex a group of ~2 week olds, then continue on veg for another 2 weeks?

It's always best to avoid transplanting during flower as it can diminish yield, but I have found that if you are transplanting into the same soil, and you are very careful you can actually avoid most of the shock. Also Superthrive helps.
