i have a seed that is germinated with the paper towel method. should i plant the seed directly outdoors, or should i start indoors. the weather outside is usually around 45-50 degrees at night and 40-45 degrees in the day. there is not much direct sunlight at this time of the year either.

i do not want to kill the plant of shock if i start indoors because of how much colder it is outside. what should i do?

I think you should start reading before you start planting. Since you've germinated already, plant indoors. I wouldn't plant outdoors until there is enough light, and the temps are more like 60-65(night) at least, and somewhere around 70's daytime. Definitely not 40's and 50's...study up and good luck!

That will sound good in Court. "Yo Honor, I accidentally planted them plants !!" Actually Dude, I've got 6 Babies growing, the Law Planted them. Seriously. During a bust in Nov, they cut my Ladies down. Seeds dropped in the process. A week later, they came up. I should be able to charge for Babysitting.
