Transplanting from 16oz cup to 5 gallon pot.

Hello, im new to growing and i would like to ask if transplanting from an 16oz cup to a 5 gallon pot would be ok. Will it cause any problems? The reason for me asking this is because Ive read numerous threads about transplanting and people always seem to do a minimum of 3 transplants throughout the grow, (ect. small, medium, large *final*). I was wondering if i went from small to large AKA a 5 gallon pot, would this affect my plant positively, negatively or not affect it at all. Thanks!

The less transplanting you can do the better off you will be. Once they are established and growing, and strong enough to handle the elements you plan on introducing em to, get em to their final home, thats fine.

Less transplanting means less shock which means better plants and better buds. Good luck with your grow.:weed:

I try to limit transplants to one. Sometimes I just start in the same pot I finish in...all depends on what I have being used at the time.

There is no need for all that transplanting take the plants that you have and put them in there final pots the biggest that you can fit all the plants you need in the grow room.the reason that some folk transplant into differant size pots is a pure 100% waste of time has long has the watering is done right water a max of 2 times a week realy i only water once but i wet the plants through, when i say water them i mean give them loads of water that has been ph'ed and this should cause no problems the plant by watering just the once a week will get a far better root system.the main reason that folk have to keep useing differant size pots is that the plants are been over watered thus causing the plant to become preaturely rootbound.the root system should utilise all of the container that the plant is growing inand you will be fine.the plant's do look alittle odd in big pots but why waste your time messing around re potting when it is unnessassery.Do the finger down the side of the pot harf way through the week and see if there is still moisture there if so let it be till the pot feels dry.

Im new at this but I started my babies in 3 inch jiffy pots with the same soil ill be growin in and just keep em nice and moist not soaked but they will need more water more times a week for the first week because they are kinda small and i put mine under 400 watt mh as soon as i saw green leaves than after a week i just got the outside of tthe jiffy pot nice and wet and then planted the whole thing in a 3 gal bag that was a week ago and my babies look great no stress at all because they werent really ever transplanted in theory anyway

did you notice any growth or yield differences between transplanting and starting off in a large pot? How often do you water each week in the large pots? any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
