Transplanting from living soil to coco

So I purchased a clone in a 5 inch pot of living soil. I grow in coco and wondering if I can wash the roots of the soil and transplant into coco. Don't want to lose the plant it was costly.

I wouldn't do that much. Just transplant and start your feed program.

So there should'nt be a problem with a 5 inch pot of soil planted into coco, will it cause root problem with the wet and dry cycles. Soil holding water much better than coco.
No way. Your talking about a solo cup sized pot that its currently in? Right? Nope! What size pot are you going to finish in?

It is in a 5 inch square pot.

Am thinking if I cannot wash, then go ahead and grow in this pot and take clones from the mother and put in coco.

I would caution you on this in pure* coco. Some dryback during lights off, ok. But you should do your best to keep your coco hydrated. Be sure to water to runoff, so you don't get any EC/PH issues.
I have been running coco for years now, I have an automated irrigation system that allows me to water as many times, up to 8 times per light cycle.
The master board.

Orbit 8 port manifold, only use 6 with the current setup.

Rainbird emitters, good full pot coverage.

Setup, modified Ebb and Flow system, only using the drain pots, with a riser. Can see the risers in the pots

The drain pots are connected and outside of the tent I have the collection pot, which transfer the drain liquids to a waste barrel.

This is super dope! I wasn't sure on your experience based on the noobish opening question. You ever looked into crop
steering?

Not gonna lie it could. Id take cuts. Id just try to plant in best soil you know and nurse it to size. I wouldnt flower with it, if you dont know soil maybe can just transplant it anyway in coco and just get it replaced with a cut asap.

For me anyway any little thing can effect my dtw coco grow.

Or washing off roots I mean, if youre not affraid to lose it or get major shock. Ive disected unneeded clones seeing how tough roots are and they can be fragile. If it just rooted itll be fragile but if its acclimated a little its gonna be bound up. Im not to sure on that one but just my two cents. I only grown a few years.
