yep CFL attached to the lid is going to happen next go around... spent all my cash on this for the time being though

I love this idea. would be perfect to keep my mother in. whats the wattage on them tubes and where did ya get them?

they are 55w T5 HO fluorescents.... 55w each at 4100 lumens, so i have 330w/24600 lumens in a 33" tall, 24" wide space... should rule

i got the bulbs from htgsupply, and got the ballasts from light bulbs etc

looks like you might have some light leaks where the fixtures are mounted,you'll want to fix that...could you slip an other garbage can over that one? if it fits it would be really stealthy. good luck

fixtures are actually mounted with velcro so i don't think there are any leaks... the only place there could be a leak is at the bottom where the intake tubes come out, but i have sealed them off
