I absolutely love it, it's a huge upgrade from any horizontal fixture I've owned, before parabolic 1gpw was only a target now 1gpw+ is an expectation.

This is 600w in a 5x5 tent, in theory it's to big but I'm more than happy with outside bud

I've got a 400v dimmable 600/1100w de ballast and reflector but never use it, light for light i can get the vertical fixture much closer to the canopy so any advantage with de is negated, the heat gets thrown out around the bulb like a doughnut so you don't have one hot spot under the light.

Just to put emphasis on the lack of heat going down the way.
