Trichomes?

and pest repellent

to have trichomes on veg plants, you have to have an autoflowering plant. a traditional plant doesn't grow trichomes until flower cycle...

well as you may know trichomes exist over the entire plant, besides the roots, but just because they are there doesn't mean they have resin or thc in them, resin dosen't fill the trichomes until the flowering stages this is the attraction for pollinating insects the aroma is beautiful isn't it?

nonsense............
resin glands are trichomes.

haha, i didnt catch that -- yeah...trichomes = glass. the bulb of the resin gland is the only thing that gets you high. which is why vaporizers work..and hash :)

plant matter is the carrier, and sacrificially inhaled for the resin gland :)

I don't get your analogy of trichomes=glass... but the rest of it made sence to me.. would you explain what you mean by that?

Ohhh.. never mind then I follow you.. thanks, I knew you knew what you were saying, I just thought I was missing something... I was... :P

lol, sorry -- it does sound weird...in a who-would-wanna-smoke-glass-shards kinda way.

but when people ask what the trichomes are, my instinctual response is "why, the glass of course" :)

i always call mine glassy -- the trichomes look like shattered bits of glass all over the bud :)

i like smoking glass.............
but prefer this.

not sure how old my plant is but its got the same type of little things or w/e and when i rub it on my fingers it smells like weed?

i've been a little confused in this area too -- but i think the hairs are not trichomes, or do not have the thc. the resin glands have the bulb and the stalk, and there are chemical reactions taking place with thc and cnb (?) and uvb is the catalyst -- but i dont think the hairs have thc in them...

so they may both be trichomes (which are not distinct to the cannabaceae family) but only the resin glands have thc

I know exactly what ur talking about. Ive seen plenty of seedling with like these white sparkles on them. They are not trichs as seen on flowering plant and they are not hairs. Its not perlite for sure, I know what perlite looks like. Most recently Ive seen it on a super skunk girl. She Is a mother plant now and she still has the sparkles on her.

I have been on these treads for about an hour and can't find my answer. How long from beginning to end does it take to grow one. Mine has been in the ground outside for almost 3 months now. Neighbors are getting too close for my comfort. Trichs are still clear and very few getting milky. I want to harvest at 50/50.. so how much longer do you guys think I have?

Mate, please post this question in your own thread. There are already quite a few threads that actually ask this same question.

If you grow indoors, it can take as little as approx. 3 months
-4 weeks to veg
-6 weeks to flower
-2 to 3 weeks for harvesting/drying/curing.

LIke I said , I searced for over an hour and could not find my answer... also they are outdoor grows like I mentioned before and some of the trich are starting to turn milky with majority still clear... was just wondering how much longer I need to dodge the neighbors... also is it to late to move plants to another location in the yard?

Mate, that's the whole reason why you have to make your own thread, it's not much harder, and it'll produce better answers than impeading on someone else's.

It's also agaisnt forum rules, if I'm not mistaken.

Just make another thread, and I'll have no problem with answering.
