Trichs starting to turn amber (Pics included)

Hey, i have a few AK-47's in week 8 of flower. They are supposed to go between 9 and ten weeks. One plant has trichs turning amber and the buds look way more swollen than the other two. They are growing in 3 gallon soil pots, under 600w hps and being fed GH nutes. I have included a few trich pics from the most mature plant, along with a bud pic. I think i may chop a bud off and let the rest go for a while. Check out the pics and let me know if I should chop or wait. I would like to wait because i hav'nt begun flushing yet. Not in a hurry to harvest but I would like to when they are at peak potency.

I dont see any clear trichs at all and your almost 70% amber unless I am too waked and baked I would say its ready now. I am curious what the veterans say because it looks at peak to me, but please wait for more experienced to speak up

tbh looking at the trichomes, I would leave them at least another week, remember if u harvest to early you can effect your total yield, as the plant will put 25% of its yield on within the last 2 weeks.

You could take a lil pop corn bud off bottom of the plant and dry & test it to see if its right for ya.

If potency is the issue wait another week and a half also I would start to flush, but well done the plant looks great

your right on pace. start your flushing for bout a week. then trim ,cure ,and enjoy.. the bud pic looks very nice.

Can i harvest a bud now and let the rest go or will that stunt it? I've been patient but the more I look at these beautiful buds the more i want a taste. I don't think one bud would hurt, it looks like each of my three ladies will put out an ounce or more dried at least.

nah you can take a sample. but, just use one of the lower ones not a cola.

Huh... the trics look ready but the pistils still look white. I'd wait a week as swazifarmer said. start the flush.

i cant wait to hear what u harvest off this make sure u update!!! im curious cuz ak47 is a strain im really intrested in growing

d3thr0w, make sure you check out Serious Seeds AK-47. I ordered mine and received them in seven days from The Attitude SeedBank. Great service and stealthy delivery. I'll try and update when i harvest. it's looking like the other two are going to go longer, the trichs are showing no color and they have a lot of room to fill in with bud.

the one pics of the plants look like they definitely have a bit longer to go. wait until most the pistils turn from white and start receding into the bud. which of those plants was the trich shot taken off of?

My personal rule of thumb has always been to pull them when 80 percent of the chrystals look amber under a 40x microscope.

ya these AKs take a while.. i currently have some serious seeds AK at day 66 and most of the hairs are still white, and they are still fluffy looking.. im starting to flush now and imagine they will go 75 to 80 days.. way to long IMO LOL

Here's some pics i took earlier today. The first one is of the plant I took the triche pics from. Second and third pic are the other two and the fourth is all of them together. I put a beer bottle in there for scale. Hopefully I will get some close up bud pics, if i can figure out the right setting on my camera. Enjoy!

If I where you, I would stil wait another 1-2 weeks if ya can, will be worth it in the end.
