I second this thought. Don't go grinding your teeth because of your plants. Even so, we can all tweak our plants with minimal shock to obtain maximal yeald.

True, don't go supercropping all your stems like that, the main stem is enough. What that guy did was exagerated and useless, but at least you got the idea of the method.

why useless... I get tons of more tops doing it to all of my stems...... PLus i donot have a main stem... I have been toping/fimming those since clone. U sure you can go around talking like you know everything?

Easy there, people. Genfranco, didn't mean any disrespect. My only problem with supercropping all side stems is that you and up with a very wide plant instead of one with a moderately tall one. In your experience, does supercropping all your stems deliver more yeald, and if so, why? My logic would tell me that the lower buds would still not get more light, beacuse a forming leaf coanopy would block the light pretty fast. Also, I'd suppose that the closer the stems are to the light, the mroe they get, the more buds they produce. Just my line of thought, it doesn't mean it's correct.

Don't know if that was a DIY co2 generator, but I can tell you that they work wonderfully. Get a 1l bottle, cut off the top. Mix water, 1tbs dry yeast, 2tbs sugar. This will give off co2 for 2 weeks. Place it close to your plants or behind a fan. Put in under a plate or something because it might fizzle and you don't want that on our plant or floor.

1. That all depends on how long you let the plant veg for after supercropping... the longer you wait the taller she will get.
2. as long as your canopy is about the same hieght... wouldnt that be better?... I mean you open the plant up and the little stuff that was under now gets prime realestate light.... within the time (about 2 weeks) that the tall shoots that you bent over start pointing up and growing about 2-5 inches.... Meanwhile those little shoots at the bottom that now are on the top grow to be there own top... More tops..more buds... Usually those lower buds would develop small buds in a low watt environment like a 400 watt.... IN a 600 and 1000 watt you get much bigger penetration anyways.
#2 above... Thoe small stems now get to be TOPS.
closer to the light now cause they are on top right.... That forming leaf canopy grows... those bottom shoots keep growing too... that is why you want to bend everything that is taller than your other bends... you want the side shoots to become there own plant.
Granted I top'd and fim'd thse plants allot anyway... so i had allot more branches to bend..lol...

You know those poeple that tell you that the light is absorbed by the leafs and not the buds... in an attempt from trying to make us stop cuting all the leafs off so you get more light in?... they are right.... Just leave the leafs alone... in most canopies you only see the very top buds peaking out and the rest is all leaf .... Buds grow under that... We just need light to the leafs....

Would this work on tall sativas as well as on bushy indicas?
Does so much supercropping require additional time in vegging aka does it slow down plant growth for a while?

OK so the questions..
What strains?..damn man... I havent tried them all.... LOL>...
I think you meant like sativas or indicas right?... based on your next ???....
Ill say like this and even lump in your last ? ...cause it all kinda has to do with it...
Indicas: When put in flower... You will experience growth on the branches from start to finish about 12-23 inches...
sativas: When put into flower they can more than double int he growth. 35-60 inches....
Therefore your questions kinda answere themselves.
I think it would work good in both genes... I personally think it would grow amazing in the sativa way.....
See the drawback to supercropping is your ? # 3..... But its not so much that the plant stops growing... its not like toping...
The tips of all the shoots will still grow.... The deal is though...that now you have if you will " a new soil line "
All of the little shoots that are on the bent branches that would have just grown up the stem or even just fattened up a little to get ready for the flowering... will be like little clones... they will be the top of the plants now... so those little shoots get tricked ... they start growing UP towards the light and developing side shoots if left vegging long enough before flowering....
the truth is that it takes you back in time if you want to acheive large buds...
Im sure you have all seen those pics of people with dried/hanging weed and you see that 1 branch looks like it has buds growing on the flat branch and the buds sticking up... thats because they didnt allow those little nub shoots to grow stems... they grow stems, a few internodes, and then you flower.... youll get really good results...

Don't know about baking soda and vinegar, I only use sugar and yeast. Check post #50 of this thread for the recipe.
