I bought one of the pocket microscopes from radio shack and took a look at my girl today. her trics are milky clear. a friend told me i should chop it down soon. something about milky trics give u a better high, while if i wait for them to turn amber ima have a couch lock high. on the pics u cant see the trics just kinda of wondering if she passes the eye test? n 023.jpgn 024.jpgn 025.jpg

I chop when I see just some evidence of amber because it will continue to turn in the drying/curing process somewhat. The pure clear trichs are too early. Shoot for 75% milk. This is all personal preference you know. What you can do is chop some now and chop some later and compare. That way, your next grow you can shoot for an entire harvest at your liking. It takes knowing the particular strain.

Just cut one of the top buds, and let the others continue. I too like to see a little amber in my buds.

Your plant will be fine with just chopping off a few top buds. Like state above its all a preference to when you chop as per trichs clear/cloudy/amber. I like to chop mine when I see about 5-10% amber. So as you can see it all in your preference. There is a really good brake down sticky in the harvest and curing section I will look and tell you what it is. It lays out everything for you as to what each level of trichs does and the different type of canniabnoids per ratio.

the sticky is trichomes and harvesting I would suggest reading throught the first 3-5 pages it has a lot of insight that will probably help you decide when you want to give your girl the chop!!!

pix aren't clear so i couldn't see that well but the leaves are ripening nicely. i think you're just about done. cloudy is good. a little clear is ok. a little amber is ok too. but more than a little amber is not good.
