And I was blasted in a not totally enjoyable stupor for near 3 hours. I wasn't a functioning human being and I didn't enjoy it... Also after pulling the cone I ended up with a sharply bitter after taste with a slightly sore and swollen tongue... Anyone know of any reason why my tongue would react that way to the pot? It was a new experience to me to have my tongue react negatively to marijuana...

welcome to the club of growers... he was probably a novice to boot. Glad you found out why the phrase "one hitter quitter" exists, now step it up a level and hit some hash.

Possibly the grower put raid in the res. to kill an infestation? That's a cheap way of making mediocre bud seem more powerful than it actually is. The only thing I've smoked that killed my tongue like that was bricked mexican shit someone had that definately had been sprayed with bug poison. Either that or opium+ bong hits, I doubt someone would sneak opium in though.
