Tried to Top, ended up fimming, so i re-topped

Is that bad? I thought I had snipped it right but I started to see new fan leafs appear that were damaged from the fim. Yesterday I completely retopped her and I think I did it right. Does she look ok and will she be ok from the double topping? Thx

Last one is my seedling that topped itself ^_^

Growth will still shoot up from the side and lower nodes while the fim spot repairs itself. It looks like your lower nodes have already responded to your training. Topping twice is nothing, at most you'll lose a few days of growth - which often happens anyways with topping. Best wishes. :peace:

Thanks for the input. I also transplanted her the same day as the fim/top.

I tried FIM'ming once. Well, twice, because there were two plants. I was sickened to see all those mangled leaves rising up out of the damage for days. With one snip I'd cut into at least three forming nodes.

To add insult to injury, both plants continued onward with single tops!

I went in with very fine tweezers and a hobby visor and plucked out only the very smallest bit of new growth. That created two tops, no mangled leaves, and it sure seemed like the plants shrugged it off faster than the FIM.

I don't like seeing those poor, deformed leafs either. That's one of the reasons I had to re-top her. Now since I've had a little experience I know how to do it right the First time. And she didn't seem stressed out, which is good because last year I topped a plant(or well fim I guess lol) and it stunted its growth for like 2 weeks and didn't really branch out
