Trim Jail - Feelings

My biggest yield ever took me 6 straight days working 10-12 hours straight a day to trim. It was a nightmare of shoulder and back pain. It's just me doing it as I'm too picky to let my wife help. If I ever grow that much again I'm calling in help or just giving away untrimmed branches to random homeless people and telling them it's do it yourself
I am a phone call away, and around 6 hrs I think…

Well, I planned to trim this beauty today but pulled out the camera gear, and, well, ya know how that goes. This is a buddy's freebie cross from Mephisto and I'm uncertain of the lineage...no matter, it looks pretty awesome.

I got the focusing rail incremental movement with the thumbscrew figured out such that I can get from one end (near focus) down to the other end (far focus) with 100 turns of the thumb screw. It takes an hour for Photoshop to process the images into these composites. I see a motorized focus rail in my future...

I was pretty light handed with coloring/saturation/shaarpness...WYSIWYG...

So, trim tomorrow...the cannatrol is earning its keep for sure...19 Jul 22 a copy.jpg19 Jul 22 b copy.jpg19 Jul 22 c copy.jpg

too bad that D600 doesnt do focus stacking in-camera like some of the other nikon bodies. I've seen some pretty good results witout any focusing rails. I have a canon mp-e 65 I never use and should probably sell unless I buy a motorized rail....its too time consuming to do with a manual focusing rail.

i don’t mind the Mechanical aspect of it…good time to fill a Volcano bag and let ‘er rip…

I also have a D800 and a D500, but have had best success with the D600…it’s been with me on many trips around the world and is my go to body.

Okay, some closeups of LA Girlz on the agenda for tomorrow…

im Gonna make a calendar next year of weed closeups…
That would be cool as hell. I love the stacked image shots. Like Herb and Suds said I look at my hands shaking when I'm trying to get a picture and I'm shocked it doesn't look like an etch a sketch.
