Trimmed my plant for the first time ( PICS )

So yes this is my first plant and i decided to trim it so that all my buds can get sun since most fan leaves were covering the buds in the middle.
I think im about 2-3 weeks away from harvesting.. The weather outside is getting cold but no frost yet ! Any advice on anything else i should do ?
Also, in my other posts i asked about giving it some " Big Bud " but never got an answer.. should i or should i not ?

People tell me its good and people tell me it's not. My uncles been growing for over 10 years and he told me to do this so yes i do trust him but i also always like other opinions !

Looks good. Generally you would only be feeding water for last 2 weeks. Enjoy the fruit of your labor. Cutting back fan leaves shouldnt do any harm at this point.

Exactly what my uncle said. He said at this point the buds should be getting all they can possibly get before harvesting

it's the leaves the grow the buds, not the other way around.. the leaves are the power cells of the plants.. they hang out in the sun, light, and convert light energy into foods and sugars via photosynthesis.. about as basic botany as you can get...
when you grow, you want to concentrate your efforts on growing as many leaves as you possibly can as like i said, it's the leaves that do the work and feed a plant.. by removing the leaves, you're removing the very things that create food for the plant, and thereby greatly reducing any kind of yield that the plant could possibly produce.. :(

It's not a good idea to cut the leaves. I will sometimes but only the discoloring ones that late in flower. Just tuck them out of the light. And even saying trimming the leaves you went overboard. You only want a even glow on lower branches. Hope you plants don't start pulling what they need from the buds sence you just took there food away.

Looks good but contrarily to what these "experts" say,you can trim some leaves as long as there is some left to sustain the plant for the next 2 weeks.
you could have went over board but you didn't,all the fan leaves on my stalk already fell off by itself but the branches have enough fans to sustain my
plant and still have optimum growth.Cannabis plants drop leaves from birth, from cotyledon to first true leaves to lower leaves and most when finished.
I'm not pulling less than 2oz per plant and i trim and my plants are under 3ft and in small pots but the lst helps.

I agree with hotshot. I've flowered amnesia in 2 gal pots, but with LST, It's two foot tall and full of bud, maybe three or four z. I regularly trim these back quite a bit, but I always leave the main fan leaf at each node. I find this still allows the bud to develop fully so long as you maintain a good feed for them. But trimming back that much should not do too much harm, especially as you are starting to flush it.

The plant is more expert than any of us. Let her decide when to shed leaves. It wouldn't have been now on this one. Promise. That's why she did it!

Newbies and less experienced growers - do NOT remove the fan leaves. That's like closing the GM plant in Detroit with your fucking truck still inside, eh? They are the sugar factories for your plants. Removed by morons and the less knowledgeable. Left by everybody else. Tuck the big ones back! Be smarter than your plant. A real challenge for some, impossible for many.

This is growing 101.... It's not even an argument. The leaves stay on unless they are yellow and crisp. Simple
