Trimmimg Shade Leaves?

we started this plant outside so the shade leaves are much larger than the new groth (we moved it inside under a 1000 watt 5 days ago) and we are wondering about any potential damage we might cause by trimmimg these leaves off (talking about the 2 bigest leaves in the pic)
whats your opinion?
does anyone do this?

There are only limited circumstances under which removing fan leaves can be argued as helpful:

- Disease or pest infecting the area
- The leaf is dying anyway, and may result in fungus if not removed
- Problems with air circulation due to vegetation
- To promote growth in a desired area (ie. branching), and accepting the resulting net growth loss in the plant

In general, pruning fan leaves is a bad idea.

Everyone above is correct. Those fan leaves are helping energize the plant, to take them off will slow the plant down.
