Trimming and sugar leaves

do you ever just get tired of trimming for hours and start leaving the sugar leaves in tact? does it make the bud look less desirable if you leave them uncut? as long as you get all the fan leaves except the small sugary ones under the buds. i would think it may just add a day to drying maybe? i did half and half this time to see what its like but when you sit down alone to trim a few pounds you get tired after a while.

Yep, trimming sucks but it's all about bag appeal. If you don't care how it looks leave the sugar leaves. I use my trim for coconut oil, that's why I trim.

I pull out as many as possible without damaging the bud. As the bud dries and cures, I like the way the smaller leaves wrap the bud. I'm sure this method is too labor intensive and time consuming for most. I don't grow that much.

Ive heard less leaf the better the smell as well.
Agreed, trimming sucks, but I only usually have a few ounces to do at a time.

looks like you are in california. nobody will want your badly trimmed schwag if you dont trim it properly. Take that crap to the east coast :) The market is already flooded with dank here.

Sometimes if the smallest leaves are really frosted ill just clip the tips off. Usually I try to do tight, close trim. I grow strictly for personal though.

Sounds like you really know what you are talking about!

If you want to sell your stuff to people who buy based on "bag appeal" than trim it to what your market demands. If you are keeping it for yourself either leave the trichome covered sugar leaves on or save them and make concentrates.

pull the fan leaves then hang it when the sugar leaves get crispy put on a pair of gloves and flick them off they break of cleanly and you are left with finely trimmed nugs
