Trimming and topping.

.

Top above the third to get 2 colas; The plant recovers and grows two colas and you top, again, twice above the 4th node and get 4 colas, top, again, 4 times above the 5th node and get 8 colas; 6th node for 16 colas and 7th for 32 colas.

Thats about all the colas you'll need in a 4x4 tent with 4 plants.

It's very simple to do, especially if the plants are all clones of the same strain. I find topping easier than LSTing.

.
Wow really? That can happen? I figured this whole time that once topped, that it nevers need to be done again. I will definately keep that in mind. I might go that route. I have 4 plants as you know, i topped 2 and fimmed one for experiment. The 4th one is a little smaller, but has 6 nodes. I figured i wait for it to grow a little more before topping. Dont want to stress the little plant. I will show you pics of the one i topped and fimmed. The 1st 2 pics are topped. the 3rd pic is fimmed. The 4th is pic of all plants. If you would observe them to see if they are done correctly. Thanks for your input and sharing tips. Much appreciated.

Exactly how to do it... try different style/ techniques and see the results as they grow, you'll see what works best for you!

Once branching starts growing you'll be able to start LST! :bigjoint:

And Have fun doing it , cuz they are pretty resilient to US
Nice. Ok i will definately try different methods. Like i did with these, topping 2 and fimming 1, to experiment with them. They are all the same strain so ill see within couple days to how they respond to it. And after, ill for sure do the LST to couple again for experimental. Thanks im glad to hear they are resilient. Ill keep an eye out for them. Ill keep an update. :weed:

I’m a newbie but my two cents....let the 5th node develop then once you see new growth above that 5th node, that’s what you chop off.
Awesome. I did that but actually did it above the 6th node. I thought it was about 5 nodes but was at 6. But i sure do hate hurting these girls with cutting them like that, but itll be for the best. ;-)

What do you give them for light? They look like they dont get nearly enough and are very small for their age. I wouldnt even top them, but LST
Yeah i kind of figured that they are little low on light.

Ive got 2 of these lights over them. Plus a growing bulb on the side. My tent has sides lined with foil as well. And i got a fan running through them for air circulation

Yea that doesent seem tons, but i would expect a bit faster from that much watts, but could be just about that. How close do you keep the lights? That sort of lights need to be really close

Yeah currently ive been looking into a new one with higher output. Because i know when they do get bigger, theyre definately going to need more light. They are about 6-8 inches about them.

If it doesent get too warm and can still cover enough area, you could put them a bit closer. Yea if you want bigger yields get bigger lights

Basically as close you can get without getting too warm and still getting the spread. Like 2 inches is good if not too warm
Ok ill drop the light few more inches. Get it close as i can and avoid heat as well. Any websites or place you recommend purchasing a light? I live where purchasing things like that are hard to come by. So ordering is my only choice.

Sorry, i have no idea about webshops. You could also look if you find something on the used markets, but if you buy some HID lights, buy a new bulb.

Ok. The grow lights that i got are LED. I know i have to stick with grow lights. Ive had someone tell me use fluorescents but i know for sure they dont have the spectrums of lights required for plants. Whats your opinion on those?
