trimming before re-potting and flowering?

i have 2 kinds of plants growing in my tent, 3 of one 2 of another. i dont know what they are because the person i got them off didnt know either....he said the 3 is chocolate kush or something....anyway, 3 of the plants are out growing the other 2, they are about 6 inches behind.....now, im going to put these in to 25ltr pots and start flowing, i should have done it days ago but im lazy, now i not sure they all going to fit....

....is it ok for me to chop the tops of the 3 large ones, then put in new pots and start flowering....?

here is a pic but i not sure if you can see....276.jpg277.jpg the 1st one is under 125 cf light as you can see the two infront are much smaller and other pic under HPS. its the 2 at the back...

the pots look sufficiently sized... if you've inherited the plants, I wouldnt want to disturb/stress them as you dont really know what prior conditions they have endured and if they've come along this far, would prob just leave em... thats just my opinion.. if you wanted to do something, id just give them a light trim and maybe just add some gravel to the tops of each pot - so that you stop soil erosion when you water them.... maybe rotate them under your lights

Yeah you can top the, just take off what you nede off and let them veg a few days to recover, don't cut, transplant and switch to floweing all at the same time. May shock your plant.

Thanks for the tip, I just recently chopped half of a few plants I had growing outside off. They were close to being done but I needed the smoke and the bottom half of the plant wasn't very big. Going to put them into veg in the morning.
