ok, so....i just started the third week of flower. she looks healthy and awesome but a bit bushy. i just trimmed last week and shes still a bit too.....leafy. too many bud sites are being overshadowed by fan leaves. so far i have had no ill effects; hermie, slow bud growth, etc.; from trimming during flower. i would like to do it again since she has stopped stretching and she seems to be at full "flowering height". where should i trim? inside? outside? towards the top, bottom? any specific help is greatly appreciated.
and please dont go on about how you shouldnt trim during flower. counterproductive. im gonna do it anyway, just looking for people who have done this in the past and know what should be done.
thanks all!!

I'll tuck the leaves under the buds I wouldn't tear the leaves off.
Looks like it's about to hit the light you can just tie'em off to the side.
I wouldn't cut nothing!

1st. thanks!!
all the bottom branches are gone already. at week two i removed maybe a tenth of the plant and shes doing fine. just wanna remove the fan leaves. cutting toward the top of the plant is a no-no right. unfortunately thats where the "blocking" leaves are.....
Hi Pal.
First nice plant!:)
I have removed the bottom branches from my plants if that helps
Did this in like the 2nd and 3rd week, not loads tho.....have a look https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/448220-continuing-my-grow-here-36.html

the leaves are what soak up the light and breath. i would go with lst over pruning during flowering but thats just me.

also i move her around every day. basically every day has a new main branch facing outwards. to tie up would be a serious hassle. unless you mean tie off the leaves.....?

yeah man, exactly. thats why id like to do it now, specially since she seems to have stopped stretching. shouldnt be any more "new" growth happening.

pretend im an idiot.(hehe). explain please. where should i lst?
i get the concept but dont know how to apply it.
t

the point of lst is to keep the plants and the lights as low as possible. so instead of having plants over 3 ft tall you tie them down so you get more light penetration throughout the whole plant and not just the tops 3 ft in the air. you tie down your branches down to form a solid canopy keeping the plant as low as possible in the process. this will allow the lower branching to develope and help form a solid canopy. actually in your setup, scrog(screen of green would be perfect). check out this vid, one of my all time favs. check out that canopy.

i tried tying down last time and i wound up with the same problem....stems to thick. now way to tie down without breaking a limb. i need to do this next time around. and you're right, scrog would probably be the best for me.....shoulda went ahead and did it this time....live and learn.....

U may not. Think its "counter0roductive" but it is, the. Leaves get the light for the bud sites, but more importantly, they FEED ur plant, so u cutting them is robbing it of its nutes, I could. See cutting some during vegg, but never in flower, mos def. Not inn week 3-6 either, but growing is about personal preference, but preference dosent mean nothing when it comes to the fact, ur plant needs its leaves

i was under the impression the plants recieved their nutes from the root system up through the stem, correct me if i am wrong , also if large fan leaves are covering bud sites , they are better removed, the plant on many strains will auto kill the leaf shading the bud anyway.

Well from experience with flushing you do see that the plant feeds off the leaves. They yellow and die from the lack of nutes in the reservoir. So I've been following what seems to be the accepted norm that the plant does feed off the leaves. But they do feed off the roots too though....hmmmmm....good question....
I still think I'm gonna trim....only thing is that all the "bad" leaves are at the top; and I have read, everywhere, that the top leaves are the most important. Really annoying not knowing what's best. Might just try pulling them down and hope they die off.

Yes they feed from the leaves , co2 etc , but not nutes, if it was not correct , i would not be assed typing it , peace.
