just wondering what would happen if i trimmed the roots in my dwc because it is filling with roots very fast do to its small size would it kill the plants?
well its a 4 gallon res with 4 plants in it so that is why it worries me I may just have to flower them very soon if i cant get the stuff to upgrade to a bigger one they are still growing very good though considering the size of the system check it out on my journal
Deep Water Culture the plants are above the water with roots hanging into it with an air pump putting air into the with an airstone its pretty simple when you see it only thing you need is a net pot and an old fish tank air pump
Well you made a mistake using a 4 gallon res as that barely big enough for 1 plant. You want to use at least 10 gallon for 2-3 15 gallon or 20 gallon for 4-6 plants and bigger for more then 6.Never trim roots its like slitting the plants wrists
Go for it. Cut em. if you want them to fkn die. FF is right on this.. omg you scared me because I thought you might really cut your plants roots.. I'd have had to never let you live that down bro
You can trim the bottom of the roots without having any problems. When i first started i had the same problem and i would cut or should i say trim some of the roots and i NEVER had a problem. IT a WEED it will come back as long as everything else is OK. Actually i still do it to my mothers all the time since i keep my mothers for a long time.
