Yup because you are using it wrong. There is a trick I promise you. I never cut a man and I shaved oh I'd say THOUSANDS! Head to toe zip zip snicker and we shaved much much faster than you. I shaved the hub once. He was white faced after it ended. LOL but not a nick and the best shave he ever had.

I can think of two, and i might be wrong, but here's what works for me:
1) Let the hair soften. A few minutes of moisture, ideally warm and soapy, does that.
2) Go with the grain.

Men don't know how to shave. They are looking for the fastest route possible.

Use water and some good moisturizing cream, pull skin taunt and rinse razor often.

My husband never got a five o clock shadow when I shaved him.

After ten years' hiatus, i am once again shaving with a blade!
I do it in the shower.
After a coupla minutes of warm water, I find that the act of shaving is so much more effortless.
(Oh, and conditioner makes a superior shaving cream.)
The best part is that since the razor is doing lighter duty on swollen, erect shafts ~shifts in chair~ it lasts so much longer. i once got five months out of one disposable, and tow to three is my usual.
That went straight to hell when my ex would borrow it for shin duty.

With the grain is true but completely and utterly dry! Now put that in your pipe and smoke it LOL. Why would you want the hair to lay down? You want it up to meet the razor! Silly bear.... Oh though I must admit if I had to shave YOU it might take me 6 minutes. But I'd hog tie you and roll you at the end

But I couldn't plant my boot on your butt (aseptic field and all that jazz LOL)

But that's still not the trick to keep you from getting cut...... and we used to whip those razors right over big jim and the twins FAST! LOL The men couldn't watch that part of the prep LOL. You'd see 'em squirm so we would pick up the speed to attempt to lower their squeem* factor.

*Squeem = Ratio of squirming to squealing.

It is really important to get the hair out from between the blades too. Also if you let the beard get too long the razor will tug instead of cut.

Any man that doesn't use warm/hot water to shave is a glutton for punishment. Also the face should have a hot towel applied to before hand, if not then very warm water should be applied. Also one should not shave the face first thing in the morning as the skin is usually swollen. Not all men are idiots when shaving. Also those Bics won't touch the hair directly under my nose on my lip. I'm not one for causing face pain by manipulation of my lip and nose just to shave with a cheap ass razor.
I didn't recieve the hairless genetics of my native mother, there must have been some hairy Germans somewhere on my fathers side.

LOL Yes! and not just that.... From head to toe! and by god you laid still! We had ways of making you immobile, ok except for the flag's you freak's wave during excitation phase

That's what big ass zip ties are for darlin'.

I take all the time I need to shave my "junk" (my junk ain't junk, thank you very much). I prefer "trimming" as opposed to shaving - except my doo-dads and the shaft base, those I shave.
