I just let my shit grow crazy and strip the lower third. I found out years ago, that the biggest determent to the plant is fucking with it over and over and over. I take my first clones off the lower third after the first week to ten days, and last clones after 30 days. This clears the lower, light deprived areas pretty good. As for the upper portion, I tuck, bend, an tie shit where I want it, to maximize the light to leaf coverage. Looks like in a little over a month, you're gonna be quite the happy camper. Cheers Bro.

This is my 4th grow ,never have messed with fan leaves before now ,i know i should have not messed with them but wanted the answer myself ,The plants were growing great the were 23 inches tall so i went and pulled all the fan leaves ,there are numerous bud sites and the plants are doing well i am at day 42 of flower ,it has stunted the growth as far as taller ,they are 25 inches tall and have grown this strain before and they should be 35-40 inches tall ,now all the bud sites do look good they are swelling ,water/feeding is 7 days when previous grow was every 4th day I feed the Tokengrow tea very simple ,have used it on all previous grows got 18 zips from 4 plants last time .So my answer is NO dont cut your fan leaves ,when they turn yellow then pull them Happy Farming ,Cajun

I disagree although its my first run through but ive tried to do this imperically because everyone has different advice on the matter. I cut A LOT of fan leaves at about 2-3 wks flowering and am now past 4 wks and noticed the sites where i left leaves werent really growing much faster, if at all, than the sites where i cut the leaf at the base. In many, or maybe even most cases the opposite was true. It seems much more dependent on how much light the budsite gets, which is usually blocked by the large fan leaves, especially in a crowded scrog like mine. So i just recently cut off a bunch more fan leaves pretty much anything not at the top. And trimming didnt seem to stunt or stress my plant at all so ide say your good, i think the plant likes having less biomass to support. Ive been trimming off more leaves every few days and it all gets replaced amazingly quickly. have pictures in journal. will post more with alot more trimmed off soon.

lolipopping is good before you flower cut off the bottom small branches and keep the main big ones next time. when you flower the plant will pull nutrients from the leaves and they will turn yellow. if you dont have leaves you wont have nutrient storage to finnish flowering resulting in low yield. only pull a leaf off it is yellow and blocking a bud site.

didnt take off the fan leaves, using canna cocco for feed. its just a mass of green leaves in there, n 2 of them seem to drink double the amount of the other 4 i have, them 2 are shorter n bushier.

you could trim some lower branches off and clone them. when you clone a bud it will grow a shit load of branches if it takes. by stripping lowers the tops will grow like crazy. I have to get back to work. contact me anytime.

I hope thats not true that i will need my fan leaves at the end cause they havent been helping me so far.. that would suck.
But ill post some pictures when my lights turn on showing sites with and without fan leaves. food for thought.
