Trimming

Who has taken the time to actually separate the true buds from even the smallest of the sugar leaves?

Would you please share the experience of smoking that? What did your friends say about it? Would you do it again?

I think i know what your talking about. When i trim,i get rid of anything that isnt light green and round. Anything pointy and darker than the buds get clipped. I dont know why i get so OCD with it because it probably doesnt make much difference but when i read an article about marijuana and the bud in the picture is all leafy, it really upsets me tothink people are paying top dollar for half ass trimed buds. These are what my trims look like.

You get so OCD because from chop to cure and everything in between is the most important part of growing.

Very true, i think part of it is my first few cures turned out kind of grassy and now im nervous about leaving too much leaf and getting that hay smell.

A good week or two of curing should help with that hay smell (unless the hay smell is different than the "fresh cut grass" smell).

Are those little circle leaves unique to a particular strain? I've seen some plants that I can't find them on. (i.e. only the pointy sugar leaves, fan leaves, and bud flower)
I think you did a very thorough trim there, especially compared to the medical pictures that look like 90% leaf haha.

I was wondering if anyone has ever gone all the way can cut out anything that didn't have pistils coming out… even the frostiest of sugar leaves, leaving only the actual flower buds.
