Trouble setting up ventilation in crawlspace

Hey guys, im trying to get a grow setup happening in my cellar. Ive attached several pics to explain my situation:

Basically im trying to create some ventilation that will run from the cellar, through the crawl space and escape out of the brick wall vent whose wall is right up against a garden area that i can plant bushes throughout for added stealthiness :p

Anyways my first problem is that from the crawl-space, the wall vent is almost totally blocked by a doublebrick wall, which isnt a load-bearing or a supporting wall so i am trying to remove several bricks off the top of it to have full access to the vent.

Im currently looking into a way how to remove these bricks to give me full access to this wall-vent. My next step would be installing ventilation to it.

Please have a look at the pictures attached

I would try your hardest to go ahead and remove the bricks.

If you cannot you can go ahead and use multiple smaller ductwork -- use say 4 or 6 2" lines of ductwork instead of one 4,6 or 8 inch. I had to do that in an attic one time had to force everything out with computer fans and 2" ducting.

Try your best to get rid of those bricks.. you said you did a bathroom last time? Is this setup near the bathroom? could you access the vent fan of the bathroom from where you are at? If not.. then try to do what i said above with multiple smaller vents. That way you exhaust more air....

Thanks so much for your reply, i really appreciate it.

Would you be able to reccommend me a good way to try remove the bricks? I only have around 90cm of height in the crawl space so most of the work i do will be on my knees.

I have tried drilling out the bricks by destroying all the cement that i had visible access to, however there is still two sides of the brick (bottom and back) that i have no access to which made that attempt a bit pointless.

I cant really bring in a sledgehammer either due to the lack of space, but can you reccommend anything? My friend told me to try use a chisel, however its alot of effort going to the crawlspace, so i really do not want any fruitless attemps, and want to go down once and do it right the first time.

Thanks so much for your reply again.

Heya!

Use a mason bit.. they sell them at home depot, lowes, walmart, or any hardware/home improvement store.

A mason bit will absolutely eat brick, stone, motar etc.

Do not use a regular drill bit it will prove a(n) daunting task.. you will be eating your bits, putting excessive stress on the drill's motor and worse of all -- giving you a royal pain in the ass :).

Best to use a mason bit and an ELECTRIC drill.. you could get away with a quality rechargeable drill but an electric drill could go on and on with no drop in power/capability.

You can hit me up on AIM, SN: dwcponics.

Hey ive done some research into the mason bit (Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction), and it seems to be exactly what i need. I added you on AIM so maybe we can talk about it a bit more.

Thanks so much for the help again

Hey Ax just taking a look at your post saw this one so wanted to jump in and ask somthing

Is that 6'' ducing going to the vent ?? Is that AC ducing ?? is that vent just for air flow in the crawl space ?

Dwcponics is right on, so was your boy.... but both together makes for a real easy job.
