Being Different, one of this things is not like the other....and its me. Whats so wrong with being a soldier and a member of a pot forum. Its prohibited in use, not in conversational dialogue. I can say whatever the fuck I want on a pot site, about pot, or the Army, and they cant give two fucks less :) Go America!

What unit do you have friends with? They just busted a guy with 1-87 growing 40lbs indoors in a town off post :)

I'm not going to devulge anymore info than what I have. For security reasons.

I was in the AF. In a joint AF/Army unit. I sure as fuck got looked down on and given a hard time for just drawing a pot leaf on one of my notebooks.

My first sergeant even had something to say about it. I told him to look back at history. During WW2 four states were requested to grow hemp for the war effort. Hemp was part of the military.

They left me alone.

You may very well be who you claim. Just a lot of people claim to be spec ops or equivalent on the web. You know how it is.

I was raised military and grew up with friends that had dads that were spec ops. Not saying that makes me a bad ass. Just saying I have intimate knowledge about the spec ops community.

I have nothing but respect man. I am in no way claiming anything spec ops. I am who I am. I am an Infantryman. A M240 Gunner. I also occasionally pretend to be a squad leader of sorts :) I have been open about my views since day 1 at 2-14th. My CO is a very open minded leader. He knows its benefits but At the end of the day, it has nothing to do with being a soldier. I have had one single UA since here and it had nothing to do with me being outward with pro cannabis.

It did get mentioned at NCO Board. They literally asked why I feel the way I do about cannabis and that was it. I also got the promotion.

I know Drum is praised as being the second largest home to spec ops...however I have never seen one here...I am sure they are here, but I am sure I dont see them for a good reason :)

This was almost 15 years ago. I got popped with a lot urine test after that.

Maybe views have changed a bit.

Believe it or not, the Army is "lowering its standards" again and is now waiving failed drug test for cannabis to gain entry. Numbers are down, enrollment is down, views and tolerances have to change with the times.
