I think you're giving him waaay too much credit.
This is the same guy who never expected to win 4 years ago. He didn't even have a transition team in place and has been stumbling through ever since.
And now he caught the hoax virus that was nothing to worry about.

Donald will be fine, he got 8 grams of polyclonal antibodies on Friday Morning and Remdesivir daily, no mention of HCQ in his treatment protocol. I'm not surprised he's feeling chipper and a lot less infectious by the hour, he's still a lab rat and not out of the woods, but I figure he be well enough to be a pain in the ass starting tomorrow. If it wasn't for the antiviral treatments and other supportive therapies, like steroids and blood thinners, he'd be on a ventilator now headed for the morgue. Too bad the tens of thousands of his victims can't have the same level of treatment, but you will have to wait for the clinical trials on antibodies and production of remdesivir. Driving the number of cases down with masks and proper public health measures will help a lot more and make treatment of the sick much easier and better.

They don't want to release him, but Donald is desperate and doesn't like hospitals, he's a control freak. He is sick and if it wasn't for the special treatment he'd be on a ventilator now and we'd be on a death watch. He is obviously feeling better, the antiviral treatments are doing the job, but he is essentially a lab rat and no doctor in their right mind would let him out for a week at least, but Donald is president and calls the shots.
Not to worry Captain, he has covid, there is no other logical conclusion and it is fucking up Donald very badly, he is desperate to get back on the campaign trail, he's 15 points behind Joe now and that doesn't even include this latest fiasco, just post debate. Polls indicate he is getting no sympathy from the public, his own irresponsible actions brought it on. It is bringing covid front and center and Donald wanted to distract from that, this will hurt him further, I wouldn't be surprised to see his support go as low as 35%, the spell appears to be breaking for some.
maybe he's pushing the envelope to leave- you know he's a freak about his DNA and anyone can get it there..doctors have no issue getting rid of problem patients.
