Its LEDs, a constant current source and a heat sink in a housing (I've designed and built my own multiplexed RGB LED panels).
How many more times do I have to beat you around the ears with my knowledge of programming and electronics?

Better quality LED chips- and more of them for efficiency- both cost money. Then there's the usual costs of doing business; marketing, shipping. And don't forget about making a profit at the end.
