I am also pretty sure ladders cost money. By the time they reach the border they have none left. Unless the cartels out of the kindness of their hearts give them out for free.

The real enemy are governments like Mexico that have abused their people for so long, they are fleeing. I don't blame people from trying to escape a shithole, i blame the left for tampering with international economies, forcing them to the US.
