Trying a trail separation

I buy my "trail mix" in the bulk bins at the store. I buy at least three pounds at a time. I get all the high dollar nuts ($6.99/lb and up), dried blueberries and other fruits (also $6/lb), some M&Ms, flaxseed sticks, toss in some sunflower seeds and regular peanuts, then write down the code for the cheapest trail mix they have, usually $1.89/lb. Either they don;t know, don;t care, or don;t want to have to separate it. Never had a problem.

I go unsalted when I can. My math is "Fuzzy".

Why not put the trail mix into a blender? You will have a pleasant homogeneous batter that you can eat with a fork or a spoon, with zero worries about varying ratios.

It is the solution to the Gordian knot. Got size disparity issues? Change the sizes.

I'm thinking chopped up like chunky peanut butter, then add back berries and chocolate chips. Caution; may stick to the roof of your mouth. Uncontrollable urges to smear it all over one's body have been known to occur. This side effect is still under study. Research assistants are encouraged to apply.
