My electric bill, running around 5k watts...even on a time of use plan to get some discount for "heavy" off peak usage is around $600/month. 20K would have to be in the area of almost 2 grand a month. Yes, that much usage is extremely suspicious. I was talking to the electric company several months ago about switching to time if use and the lady on the phone said "WOW, you are really using allot of power". Also kind of spooky is that she said "we already ran a test on your meter in the spring to check if that usage was right". I was like...you did?

Whenever I daydream about a huge grow a large propane or diesel generator is always part of that equation.

That room is the pics is 20k? Looks like 2 rows of 5k. Is there another room? Legit for sure though. Always nice to see people putting in the effort (and cash).
3 rows 2 of 3 lights and one of 4 and another room exactly the same next to it. pics are of 2 rooms mixed in its not the same room :)

this is in a commercial building not a house. however most power companies wont question the usage much they will check to make sure your meter isn't broken, but other than that they just take your money. you could be welding and running power tools in your garage every day all day and pull a power bill like that easily.

Whenever I daydream about a huge grow a large propane or diesel generator is always part of that equation.
that would be cool, but i am moving toward solar power

Hey knock it off with the 20k watt grows. Your going to make my 4k grow look stupid :( But on the same token, I don't think I could handle that much grow and a full time job.

i was recently looking into a wind turbine..not a huge one but a residential model..its called the skystream wind generator..the cost is a bit up there around 16-17k depending on how long you need your pole to be but this thing seem to be the answer!

I heard that if you get an electrician to install the Solar Panals etc.. and avoid installing them via an energy company.. it will work out better for you.. as no-one will know your using the power.. there will be no info on computer/s, nothing on paper etc... and should be considered 'ultra-Stealth' as well as free (minus start up costs) .. you will also need some pretty big batteries to store the extra electricity you gain..

If you install the Solar panals through an electrical company.. "It may sound good when you hear they'll pay you for the extra electricity your panals are making" "BUT !!! - by doing it this way the energy company will still know what ammount of power you're generating, how much your using etc etc.."

So to avoid anyone else knowing your business its viable to install the setup either by yourself (if your competent), or get a qualified electrician to sort it out for you. Solar and Stealth go hand in hand and is a match made in heaven for the 'In-door Grower'.

Hope that helps - STELTHY :leaf:
