Trying to grow for my first time

so I planted some sunflower seeds in a small pot with some gardening soil I found in a bag in the yard. I bought some green a day or two after (not dank just good regs) and found a few seeds and stuck some in there without thinking much about it. I have three weed plants growing now (the skinnier stemmed plants in the photo) and five sunflower plants with one more on just starting to grow through the soil. I am not sure what to do next, but I know they will die if I leave all of them in this small of an area with such little personal room to grow. Is special lighting necessary and what is the cheapest way to do it if so because I am broke! Also how would you suggest moving them? Thanks!! :peace:

first off you do not want to use regular lights, or halogen spot lights they are useless. if you wanna go cheap, the way to go is surely flouro/cfl. if you have 3 plants you can get yourself about 5 CFL's and be pretty well set if you keep im in a small space.

CFL's are cheap and effective for veg, and can be used for flowerin if not so much as HPS. heres my set up if your lookin for some ideas...

its a basic shop light with 2 48" 32 watt, 2700 lumen, 6500k tubes, that i added 2, 2x fan light sockets and 1 single socket with a Y adapter, there are 3 23w 1450 lumens cfl, 1 27wat cfl about 1600lumen, and 2 daylight 15watt 6500k cool cfl bulbs in the Y. you can get all this at wallmart or your local home/garden store. all fairly priced. and you should get these essentials as well. a PH kit for your water, cuz you dont wanna use over ph water, and a combo humidity, temp guage wouldnt hurt. hope this helps some :)

Ery.

btw notice how the plants stretched, thats what crap lights do, now that i got proper flouro lights they have stopped the stretching
