(I never gave the final report of my female plants under the CFLs months ago if you were ever curious about that...they died over some dumb shit that happened:cry:)

I Know its pure winter outside right now, but I want to learn alot more outdoor growing and start taking action like buying stuff far ahead of time if I do.
So yeah I really wanna grow plants again, but this time somewhere out in a forest, because I can't grow where I live at all.
So here's some questions and comments I have to put out there about this...
Would it work at all if I try this in alaska, I mean we do have nice sunny summers here, but wont it need to be warmer?
Also What should I have on my list to get or do before spring?

Thanks In Advance

(sorry if this belongs in the noob thread lol)

ATF Strain actually came from Alaska.

Something you could try, being that in Alaska the summers are long and consist of a lot of sunlight.. Is to get yourself an Auto-flowering strain. (ex: Masterlow, Blue Streak)

Depending on the size you want, you can begin vegging during the winter and by Alaska's spring (which idk when that is lol) you can go ahead and plant it outside.

I believe Alaska may go into a 12/12 type cycle during august, so it should be to your liking sometime after then.

hope this helps, Best of luck!

You can't really "veg" autoflowering strains. Their life cycle isn't based changing photo period so you can't force flowering which is what you're talking about with a veg cycle indoors, and then forcing it by putting it outside. Autoflowering plants usually show sex within the first month of their life reguardless of the light cycle because they have a predetermined lifespan and their going through their phases with ANY light cycle. 12/12 18/6 20/4 22/2 10/14 and so on...it doesn't matter.

I'd recommend a hearty landrace type strain, or something that is noted for it's resilience to climatic changes. Autoflowering plants are done from seed to hang drying in anywhere from 9 to 12 weeks. You might as well jus finish it inside if you're going to start autoflowering plants because that's kinda what they're designed for. They're fast growing, small plants with low stature making them ideal for quick stealthy indoor grows

definitely agreed. You will not be able to "veg" an auto flowering strain, but the Idea of vegging would work for any other.

hmm good point
I might actually have to order specific seeds this time instead of using bagseed
or would bagseed still work?
