Hi everyone it's been a while since my last grow or my last post. I am in need of help at the moment. I decided to go ahead and start a SOG so I planted a whole bunch of seeds i had. 20 are mystery seeds, 10 are "guaranteed" females (5 Sativas Sour. D. & 5 Mango Skunk), and 3 are seeds i got in my Weed (Bullshit i know right?) from the dispensary (2 Northern Lights #5 & 1 Blue Dream)
They've been really good seedlings and are all growing evenly. Now I would like to go ahead and sex them except for the fems I'll just flower those and keep one of each as a mother plant for clones (mango skunk & Sativas Sour D.). But I was thinking is it possible to sex plants in 24 hr light setting by covering up the lower branches and exposing them to just 12/12? Has anyone else tried this and are there any drawbacks like more chances of hermies and/or males and would this stunt the growth? I want to sex the plants but wanted the plant to keep growing in veg so it keeps growing but find out the sex at the same time that way I can start removing the males and any chance of pollination. I kinda wanted to see which mystery seeds seem the most stress resistant or more healthier than the other ones and maybe remove a few for cloning later if they're females of course.
