Here's an update! The plants look good and have great new growth! Temps got a little cold last night but are good now. 77F to be precise. Humidity is around 35% and the plants have a nice shine on em! I watered them this morn and. . . thats about all the update I have for now! Here's some pics of the new growth! Oh yeah, I'm LST'n two of em!

looks good man, i think its about time to start dropping ur light down, keep 'em from stretching so much, just lower it slowly till temps hit around 80-82f at the canopy. good luck.

The Texas turk!!!

A tip. If you haven't done so already, remove the little branches on the first node or two, as they are not going to amount to anything substantial and you will gain that same amount on top instead of little popcorn fluff. Other advantages to it too.

The light is 2 feet above the canopy, is it safe to drop a 1000w lower than that?

yeah you can probly drop it to 18 inches, as long as its not too hot at canopy level, i would say dont let it get hotter than 85f. but the closer you can get it without heating them up too much the better.

Dropped it to 18", an hour ago, temps are good! Thanks for the help wowisuckatthis!

if u trim that lwer growth u should just take off the branches and leave the fan leaves cuz they will still produce food, and take in any light, and it wont take away from the buds, the leafs are just storage sheds of food for the plant keep as much leaf as possible, but take the shoots out if u know what i mean

Well, I've been askin around and all the responses I've been getting are either, "wait a few more days. . ." or, "Yup, thats a male!" No one has said its a female so I'm gonna assume they ARE MALE PRE-FLOWERS! I'm not gonna have to kill em though, my friend is gonna take em off my hands for me. My friend is gonna let em keep growin at his place and pick the best male and keep it to make some JTR seeds after we get a good mother to take clones from. Ya'll send my last 3 Jack The Ripper plants your love and good thoughts so they turn out to be females! Thanks ya'll!
