No alchemy here just hard work. After selling 100's of dozens of eggs from my hens I have decided to take some of my profits and upgrade my operation. 2 years ago I decided to not just rely on mother nature anymore so I went
LED. I purchased 2, 135watt black star UFO's and they did ok they both still function with few problems I lost one fan at the end of my first season and now noticed that I've got a couple of LED's out...you get what you pay for so Sunday I upgraded to a California light works 220 solar flare should be here soon. At the moment I have a couple of nice lady's about 3 weeks into 12/12 . I'm hoping with the addition of the new light I can squeeze I more baby into my space. I do know that the extra light will greatly improve the quality of my final product.......so after turning chicken eggs into weed my next trick will be turning weed into oil or butter or maybe a Harley knuckle head engine !

pan-head, or we're done here :)

nice work. I bet your eggs are big, an' orange on the inside; not yellow. I loves me some real food. I'm researching good breeds for northern AZ. I found a source for rabbit shit out there, and I want to build a 4-season greenhouse with a rocket stove for heat. I am so psyched. our syndicato has a nice grow building, newly completed, but I want my own gig. all passive. good luck with the LED's. they just don't SEEM right to me.....lol.

I'd be more inclined to agree had you eaten said eggs and then used the egg shells in the soil :p

Eggs in the UK are crazy. Between $2.20 and $3.75 for half a dozen in supermarkets.

Ive got 2 life long friends that have been using MH for 25 plus years......I just wanted to be different and believe me we do compare our work......I think the quality is thd same but the amount /plant is lacking somewhat but thats not a problem with me my elec bill is less and I dont have the heat issues they have.....but just between u and I ........I do have a 1000 watt MH
For back up just in case a hand me down from one of my friends......I just enjoy being a non conformist.....hence the knucklehead I do love the panhead though as well
Peace !

I was just replying to the "oil OR butter" part. Can you do both?

Last plants I had: took the good buds for keeps, screened the rest to make hash, and then used all the leaves, plant matter, and screened-buds for butter.

I still can't find a use for the stems though. Maybe if it was more legal here, there would be a place to take them?

theres a lot to be done with stems.. make qwiso or a lotion or something.. add it into the mix when youre making butter.. give em to the dog lol.. you got options

How many hens have you got going on?
Right now about 30.......had more but I've recently experienced some predation problems
Foxes I believe........We occasionally have some for dinner.....nothing like fresh fried chicken or chicken bbq'd on the grill also the wife makes some delicious chicken salad

I just grind mine up and add em to my compost with the old root ball. Lotion though? That sounds interesting.

If you put a goat out in the chicken coop it'll keep predators away. Something I've learned when I used to have chickens.

I hated the bastards. Nasty little creatures those are. They'll fight each other for a chance to eat a rotten egg. The roosters are the worst. Every time I went to collect eggs the bastard would attack me. Ended up egging him one time.

Good luck on the upgrade. Let me know how it improves your crop.

Lol makes my 4seem miserable hehe. If you have sop many you ought to consider raising mealworms. My chicken eat more mealworms and leafy greens than grain. They love mealworms always give them loads and reduces feed cost tremendously, especially if youve got that many!

Damn, down here, after some madness with the poultry in Mexico, that ended up in the slaughter of billions of chickens because of some Chinese syndrome (H1N1 they called it, poultry fever), eggs went up to $4.25 for 30 eggs.

Haha. I was just informed by a friend that fresh eggs need no refrigeration?
He also says his ducks eggs are 10x better than chicken eggs?
Anybody have a duck egg?

I read that you don't need to refrigerate eggs - unless you have already refrigerated them at some point. Once refrigerated - they need to stay that way.

Negatory on the duck egg. Although I have seen a video about a duck erection...
