My roommate has been storing a turtle in our laundry room (for what reason? I don't know.) I came across the bucket today, and it stank to high heaven, but seemed pretty rich. My inner curiosity wants to put that shit on my plants... Does anyone know the value of turtle shit? I know they carry a lot of bacteria, but not sure if that'd be a good or bad thing. I've tried to search out some answers, but they were vague. Can anyone help a brother out.
much of the answer is predicated on what you feed the turtle.
Everything I've read or been warned about with turtles is that they can have bad bacterial stuff in there, especially if you feed the turtle meat, which depending n the turtle, may be required.
For example, chicken parts are often fed, those could get you extremely ill, possibly even kill you.
Unless a 14 day bout of stomach cramps, diarrhea, vomiting and lightheadedness sounds fun to you.
If you need to lose some weight, it's a fantastic "diet" to lose like 15 lbs....
That was me joking...
