I recently started growing Tutankhamon about a week ago. I haven't started a journal but I think I will and share it with you.

I am a license Medical Patient and caregiver

My setup consists of a
-Veg room with 1 400 watt T5 8 bulb fixture. (Just put in new bulbs), and a 600 Watt MH.
- Bloom Room is 4000 Watts of Hortilux Bulbs, Solistek Ballasts, 15,000 BTU AC, 70 PINT Dehumidifier, & 2 Oscillating fans.

Medium- I do Soil and Hydro (Soil FFOF)

(Not in this order, it just depends on what I am doing)
Nutrients- GH FloraNova or DynaGro
Additives- Canna Rhizotonic, Epsom Salt, Liquid Calcium, Liquid Humic acid and Seaweed Extract, Worm Castings

The Tutankhamon I started a week ago is up to it's REAL first set of leafs and beginning a new set. I will keep you updated and share some pics.

I have some suggestions for grows if you want some ideas. Strong hitters and heavy yielders.

Delicious Seeds - Critical Super Silver Haze
Barneys Farm - Critical Kush (a serious bitch to get seeds past cracking open, 15 seeds and only 2 made it, I bought 3 packs and 1 from a different seed bank. So it wasn't the seed banks fault)
Dr. Greenthumb East Coast Sour Diesel (Mine tested out at 21% and others have hit 27%+ consistently) I have proof if you want it.

Currently I am growing...
Big Buddha - Cheese (My Pheno has great smell, high is decent, yield is best in hydro so far, I popped a few more seeds I had to try to see if I can find a better Pheno)
Royal Seeds - OG Kush (may kill it. no smell, high is so-so, decent yield)
Barneys Farm - Critical Kush (Ongoing due to the awesomeness of this strain)
CBD Crew - Nordle (Just started)
Paradise Seeds - Tutankhamon (Just started)
Afghani (Just started)

Yeah I ran a ebb and flow trey system back in the day but for my tent idk if that would work I am looking at gettin a straight 4x4 tent for vegging and opening my 4x4 now up to the 6x4 and removing the small two level sections ... I found a guy on hydro forum that gave me some damn good advice on rdwc ... I did design a outdoor auto water system in sure it been used but I made a 8 way manifold connected to a sump pump in a 55 gal Rez got 25 foot 1/4 lines going to each smart pot with 2.5 gal per hour sprinkler stake a that shoot a half circle of water not a fine mist that will blow away but not a gusher got it on a timer to run either early morning or late evening so I can get my ph adjusted use nutes ECT and not have to hand water 10'plants well 8 pretty solid setup

I run a RDWC. Let me say that if you have plenty of room and time to wait it is a good way to go. Huge Yields. Easy to manage. No need for an airstone in every pot or to even run the water pump 24/7. I can get into detail if you decide to go that route sometime. I will tell you my pitfalls and ways to save money on your build.
I would stick with the equipment you have for the EBB n Flow and do a Sea of Green. It's more work to maintain due to the constant upkeep of clones but it takes less time and less space per plant. I am headed that way because I hate dealing with TREES. I would rather have a bunch of mini trees.

My King tut is slow to take off but that is because I move my seeds from a rapid rooter knock off to a 1 gallon cloth pot. So the roots take a bit longer to find bottom and fill out the pot. This way I don't just get a wall of roots, it will fill all available space in the soil, then move up to the next pot size, 5 gallons. This is when I will start taking clones.
I will post next how I setup my RDWC and what I have changed about it to improve it.

Do u use a chiller for ur rdwc ,, I maintain 68 degree room temps and tent temps are 77 to 79 the controller and the Rez will b outside the tent ... My tuts have exploded , all r in 5 gal now 1 foot tall , ones been toped ones been cropped and other been main lined had another Main line but the first topin of the main line came home from work and it was broke so had to basically start over lol it's growing good now thou .. My super cheese is a bush

Before Attempting a RDWC, Please don't waste your time unless you plan on growing trees. It is a great method anyway about it but you will be defeating the purpose of DWC/RDWC otherwise. This is something I have learned. I had smaller plants I only vegged for 2 weeks because of reading others blogs. Now I know, it's about training the plants, lollypopping, and getting the canopy as covered as possible,

I believe I have all the parts listed here that you would need to build your setup the way I did. I didn't list the 1" connections or Buckets because I purchased them locally at Lowes.
Also, depending on what size setup you are planning on building depends on what size water pump you will need and air pump. Also, it's your choice on airstones. If you have a water fall effect due to the return of water through the 1/2 elbows then you won't need air stones. The waterfall effect has been proven scientifically to create the most dissolved oxygen. Next to that would be the cylinder air stones. Even better would be incorporating a mazzei nozzle.

In my first design I used a Danner 7 mag pump. It can only support up to 4 buckets at most. It can press out 700 gal/hr but doesn't have the head pressure to service 10 buckets.
That is why I now use a Mondi sump pump.
There is a huge difference in wattage used. BE AWARE OF YOUR ELECTRICAL DRAW. The Mondi pump is 750 watts whereas the Danner is 75 watts I believe. The Mondi pump puts out water stronger than what comes out of your garden hose. I only run it once per hour for 15 mins. It cycles enough water to keep everything fresh.

The point of recirculation is to have an even distribution of nutrients and to aid in maintaining your PH at a stable level longer. So, 24 hours running a pump is not needed.

As for women, I know what you mean. They can be the bane of all mankind. As for mine, that is another reason I don't run anything pretty much 24/7. Only my A/C and Dehumidifier.

Save some money, put your emphasis on the water pump and don't spend it on air stones or an air pump. Though, if you do then go for the air pump I listed if you need a big one. It is the size of a shoe box and is quiet. Amazing power too. You will get a bubble boner when you see the output.

Again, I am going to say, if you have a waterfall effect into your buckets, you don't need an airstone in each bucket. You can get a small airpump and oxygenate the reservoir.
If you use the Mondi Pump, then you had better have a large reservoir. It will suck down 30 gallons in 5 mins easy and you will need larger return hoses to make up for that. I don't need larger lines because I only run 15 mins every hour so and the system keeps up just enough to keep the hungry sump pump fed with water.
*** Not enough water in the tank to be cooled by my Hisense Ghetto chiller. ***

I will upload pictures later today. I have to go pick up some equipment for my RDWC expansion I am doing.

That is awesome to hear! (Minus the broken one)
Yes, I use a "Chiller". I put the QUOTES because it's a homemade one.
Let me tell you that using a dehumidifier as a chiller is not only way cheaper but way more efficient. It's like having a 3/4 hp + chiller for a 30 pint dehumidifier. Plus you don't need a water pump to move the water through this chiller. If you set it up on a timer, only run it 15 mins every hour for 40-60 gallons of moving water. Otherwise you WILL freeze your plants. This keeps me at 65 degrees. Now, I use a thermostatically controlled adapter that will turn the dehumidifier on and off. ($40)

This isn't mine but it's how mine is set up. (I will upload pics tonight of mine)
The fins are titanium so don't worry about rust or metal leeching into the water. I have been using mine for over 6 months and it's clean as a whistle.

So for a 4x4 or 6x4 with 650 wats of hid/led , how many plants would u do for that rdwc , probly a scrog set up I take it ???? I'm really interested in this , I did make my own parts list up for all the things to make the Systme minus the bigger pump , the dehumidifier and that thermo controller but this was enough stuff to do 8 bucket setup .. .. I was around 180 for all the pipe fittings ECT .. But what ur gettin at 500 bucks I could have a complete rdwc ...

Grrr 650 watts... RDWC is supposed to be TREE's... Like 4-6 ft and or very bushy, best to ScROG.
I wouldn't do more than 2 under a 600. Go BIG and ScROG and you will Yield what 6+ Yield in a normal setting.

That's a Sulfer/Iron deficiency. You need to foliar feed to correct it as quickly as possible. Also, add to water for long term fix. Usually you can find something adequate at a garden store such as some additive called transplant nutrients for re-potting. Usually they have sulfer and iron in it.
Just check the label and go half strength at most to begin with. Even 1/4 should do. Spray once every few days until new growth appears normal.

As for the added perlite. Don't add too much when you re-pot. You will end up needing to water nearly twice a day in flower. I did that once as an experiment. It was basically a Hempy Bucket at that point.
