What's up guys I just recently added a water level indicator to my rez.
Thought I would show ya how I did it cause it was real easy and makes knowing the water level in your rez as simple as glancing at the side of the rez
Supplies:

13/16" outer diameter x 1/2" inner diameter Rubber Grommet

1/2" barbed elbow 90°

5/8" spade bit

1/2" blue tubing, Semi-transparent

Step 1- Mark where you want your elbow to stick out of. You want it to be as low to the bottom of the rez as possible

Step 2- Use your 5/8" spade bit on the spot you marked and go clean through. Pick off the burrs and make sure the hole is clean

Step 3- Put your 13/16"OD x 1/2"ID (linked at the top) rubber grommet into the 5/8" hole, it will be a snug fit but that is what you want for a leak proof seal.

Step 4- Put the 1/2" barbed elbow into the rubber grommet, it too will be a snug fit but that's what we're looking for

Step 5- Attach the blue Semi-transparent tubing to the elbow, cut the tubing so that it can reach the lid of the rez.

Step 6- (Optional)- Depending on the color of your rez you might not need this but due to my rez being blue I took this step. I added a white index card behind the tube so that you can see the water level a little better.

Looking on the outside, it's tough to get the water level in the pics:

This picture shows the inside of the rez where the one end of the elbow sits. The rubber grommet gives a nice water tight seal

And here are two more pics of the side of the rez:
