two 75w grow lights from walmart help plz

i just bought two 75watt grow lights(tubes) from walmart for alittle over $10 a peice. it doesnt say anything about a spectrum or if its more for veg or flowering. and i need to know a good heigth range to keep it from the plants. i know CFL's are 1-2 inches away but i dont know if these are hotter or what.

Watts are watts, it is a measurement of energy used and the way non scientists measure it is usually by heat so i would treat them the same as any other 75 watt bulb, now is that actual watts or equivalent watts.

my high ass finally found it. the spectrum is 7800k. not the best from what ive heard. a couple people on here said theyd only work for supplemental lighting but im doing CFL type grow. my plan is 4 clones, veg 1 month, then add some 2700k cfls around those babies and start flowering. sound do-able?

i got a thermometer, a 24 hour timer, 2 fans, and the lights. right now i have 2 seedlings that just popped the other day. im going to let them go till i get the clones in a few days or so, to help get my bearings alittle. ive never grown indoor and i just did my first outdoor grow sucessfully from bagseed and ended up with 2lbs, i didnt know anything till i found rollitup. i got this! :]

i bought a 24" 17watt (equivalent to 75 watts) grow light at walmart for 10 bucks (came with the housing and grow bulb). This really doesnt do much but add a little bit of light in the upper part of the light spectrum on my autoflowering plants. I use it in conjunction with 2 42W CFLs at 2700k for 2 plants.

i just came from walmart myself, i went in to buy 4 23watt cfls but when i got there i found out that the 42watt cfls were on markdown for 6 bux, so i bought 4. (42 watt not 42 equivalent),

thats what i get for going shopping fucked up... ok so i got 2 seedlings under both of those right now and 2 more seeds about done germinating. so ill have those 4 in there till their sex'd. is that enough to veg them for awhile? how much more light should i add for flowering if i was to get 2 females. ill probaly get some 26w or 42w CFL's

I got two of these lights of america grow lights the spectrum is 7800k m I got them as add on lights to my cfl veg bulbs 6,500k & 5,000k I can keep mine close, but touching them. but the girls love them. I say use them with cfl'and they work great together . You will be amazed.

Those will work for 2 seedlings for about 2 weeks max. They are 17 watt fluos that emit 1093 lumens max.
