Two 80w Cool White Fluorescents and five young plants!

These are 3 of the 5 currently under 80 watt fluorescents, usually 24/7, and boxed in with lightweight white siding. Any opinions or suggestions? And would decent budding be possible using only this light-source, with a couple more tubes in the future?
Thanks!:weed:

Those are fine for the vegitaiton phase, but I would definately not use in the flowering stage. My advice is switch to a 600watt HPS light (depending on how many plants you have). The reason is that HPS bulbs offer more red spectrum that your ladies want during the flowering stage :). What you're using now uses more of the blue spectrum.

Having a room for veg and one for flowering is great too!

Cheers

Wow, thanks to all for the advice! I definitely need to learn all I can, I'm not even sure if I can keep all five while providing adequate care/light.

I've read that HPS provide a more broad range light spectrum the plant can use, now I just need to do some basic cost/benefit research.
There ya go!! A 250-400w HPS are fine for aa small grow. Love the 600w set ups, but that's money for hardware and ventilation...although small fan(s) are cheap.
